Pear trees are easy to grow in North America, and you can get tons of pears from just one tree! I love to make pear preserves - its delicious, and a great way to make your pear harvest last all winter long! Watch this video to see Patti's pear preserves recipe and learn more about growing your own pears. Visit GardenGirlTV.com and UrbanSustainableLiving.com for more information.

  • Just got done canning 4 jars. Yes, that's only 4 jars because that's all the pears I had and I wanted to try this recipe. Very tasty (ate the leftovers that didn't fit in the jars). The ginger enhances the flavor. Thank you for the recipe. :)

  • JUST GOT 100LBS FROM A FRIEND NEARBY!

she got 400lbs off her ma's tree. :)

  • EXCELLENT! THANK YOU!

  • What ever happened to the old fashion souther recipes that only called for pears and sugar. I remember my grandmother making pear preserves as a child and that was the only two ingreadents, no honey, no water, or anything else, and those were the best I have ever had.
