i went to see lady sings the blues 30 times.no lie this was before cable and dvds. my sister said if my brother in law and i was together she would not have been able to watch the movie.he was a devout richard pryor fan and i was a devout diana ross fan.i guess she was right.

Why are some people so quick to judge and compare. Only an idiot compares art and talent. Either you like one or the other. One is never BETTER than the other....You have your choice of who you like.....but get out of the corner with your foot in your mouth comparing art.......

She lacks the depth of Billie or the reach of Jill Ross but she is OK.

I love this song!!!
I tossed and turned till I thought I would die, but I awoke and most of my hommies are gone, but I'm still here, Aids took some, car wrecks took some, drugs took some, booze took some, age took some, but I'm still here and have the beautiful memories of past times, heart aches? They mean nothing now... the world got too big and bad, had to take a break down by the river, let it all go........Thank God for Billy and Diana
