Back in 2007, removing the head from my Porsche 924's old worn out engine. A fried head gasket made it impossible without twisting the head around the block!

  • That headgasket definitely had a break, and the bolt was fused to the head apparently by exhaust gasses passing through the hole, thus it wouldn't turn through the head.

  • I doubt its the headgasket, its more likely that the guides got rusted shut on the head.
