I don't think he's racist I just think he's an asshole. A talented asshole; but an asshole nonetheless. Not to be conceited but I'm a beautiful black woman well...(white mom black dad) and I wouldn't screw John Mayer If he were the last man on earth! He thought Jessica was like cocaine?...Baby...some of this here and he would think I was Heroine LOL!! but then he'd go and open up his big mouth about it later in some interview. John Mayer is not a racist. He's just an singer-songwriter whose fame has turned him unbearably arrogant. Most of his interviews just make me want to throw up.

As for the hood pass thing, that's just such a typical comment from a white guy trying to act like he's 'down' aka has a hood pass because he's made a couple of songs with black artists. If I had a nickel for every wannabe 'hey look at me, I'm tolerant and I'm down with the black folks'-kinda white person I met, I'd be very rich by now.
