In Augusta - MCGHealth Children's Medical Center Radiothon

This episode of In Augusta features the annual MCGHealth Children's Medical Center Radiothon conducted by Local Clear Channel stations WBBQ, Kiss 96.3, and Power 107.7. Each year, the citizens of the CSRA and abroad call and pledge a monthly donation to support this not for profit medical facility that treats thousands of children each year.

Local and National Celebrities were in attendance, both behind the mic and answering phones. Some in attendance: Radio Personalities Murphy, Sam, and Jodi, Fattz & Cher, Courtney Starr, Cliff Bennett, Miss Monique, Celina Soul, famed baker and Augusta resident Vera Stewart of Very Vera, and many more!

MCGHealth Children's Medical Center is the only facility in the area dedicated exclusively to children. It staffs the largest team of pediatric specialists in the region who deliver out- and in- patient care for everything from common childhood illnesses to life-threatening conditions like heart disorders, cancer and neurological diseases.
