I am a Republican...he is just as responsible as Frank, Clinton, Obama (on his spending spree now)...

but, i hold Congress the most responsible...it isnt Bush's job to have day to day oversight of the economy...he has a duty to protect this country

...and he did warn on several ocassions that Fannie and Freddie needed oversight from an outside perspective and that there was major concern for future problems...

anyways...i hold him accoutable as well...he didnt veto the right bills.

i'm a democrat and i think they should not give the money to the big auto companies they should give the money to the people.hell i need a bailout i'm currently unemployed for the first time in a long time.and millions of others who are unemployed need the bailout more than they do.

indiana and ohio are not blue states. mitt romneys dad was governor of michigan for years.

so your whole argument is moot.

who made the deals with the UAW.

the new auto companies in the south are final assembly plants and they dont generate nearly the corporate taxes that the domestic owned companies.

it is clear that your priority is not on the health of the US economy but rather on breaking the UAW.

But bailing out wall street millionaires is just dandy i guess.

It's not that simple. There's the credit defaults swap market, there's interest rates that were kept too low for too long...the SEC did not do their job either, only a small percentage of home loans were subprime.

I do think we should let the automakers go into bankruptcy and then help them out of it after to rebuild.

I don't like getting the bill for the Iraq war. I'm no longer convinced there is a big difference between the two parties. Glad I'm an Independent.
