I used to work the beach chairs when i was younger, and i would HATE to see that sight rolling in. We couldn't start putting the chairs away until we got the call.. which was usually right when it started to downpoor. A few times I was affraid for my life because of the lightning... carrying 7 foot metal umbrellas 10 at a time 100 yards in the open sand in a lightning storm is not my idea of fun. I remember seeing an umbrella I had not put up yet get taken by the wind 100 or so yards straight

yall are stupid i live in destin and that storm could easily produce lightning that can strike from miles away. when you see that you get away from the water as fast as you can
-
i go there with my church every year :D if you see a group of teens beating the crap out of each other during beach games thats probably my church :D
-
after the storm the waves r huge
-
It is so stupid that most people just stay as long as possible...Those kids in the water ask for it to get struck by lightning.

@insanefwb ummm we are tourists and as soon as we hear the thunder and see the lightening we leave thank you very much
This looks like it was taken at the Coral Reef condo, down the road from the bowling center :P

The Coral Reef condo was ruined several years ago by the hurricane. It still is there (as of a year ago or so) but it is uninhabitable, and is condemned. This is actually right in front of Crystal Villas, which was two condo's down from Coral Reef. Nice guess ;)
