  • This movie got a 6.8 on IMDB and the cast includes plenty of top British actors. I think it's well made and worth a watch. I was a boy at the time and still remember them in the sky. They also use to tip the wings of doodle bugs (V1s) to steer them away from populated areas.

  • for me this tank is like....M7 Priest SPG covered with german camo. The round mg post was only on m7 and m 37 SPG's and the cannon is probably taken from other tank ( looks like 76mm) . Atleast Me-109, Ju-52/87 and He-111 looks like orginals!

  • @Trashcansam123: I don't think it's a Valentine, the turret just doesn't match what I remember from reading about Valentines in books and historical - read Commando! - comics. And both of these sources are pretty much accurate when it comes to equipment.

  • @NobleKorhedron Its fine. But on closer inspection of the turret, it looks more like an anachronistic valentine tank. Or maybe some mocked up hollywood thing.

  • @MrStig691 The British at the time thought the claims by the Polish squadrons were exagerated too. That is until Group Captain Vincent went up with them and saw how they tore into the German formations. You can find this in "The Forgotten Few" page 83 paragraph 1. I can back up what I say with references, unfortunately none of you can and I consider this discussion closed until someone can provide me with something other than hearsay. However you are correct about Lock and Lacey.

  • @Trashcansam123: Sorry. Didn't meant to seem like I was calling you dumb. I could bee wrong, but I doubt it. Unless it's the Matilda I instead of the Matilda II but that seems pretty unlikely.

  • @NobleKorhedron Thank you for the explanation, but I do know about the Matilda. From that angle, I didn't recognize it

  • Much better WW2 movies, with a much better soundtrack:

  • @MrStig691

    Cliché, bombastic, predictable.

The only piece that's okay is when the German raid from Norway fails and the only good piece was the only part of the original music that survived ("Battle in the Air")

  • @Trashcansam123: The Matilda II tank, I think. It was used as an infantry tank before the concept of 'cruiser'-type tanks became more widely adopted. Which are basically the ancestors of today's main battle tanks - combining speed, firepower and protection in one balanced package.
