So, I took a few seconds out of Janet Jackson's song "Black Cat" and used the growl at the beginning and a few seconds of the interlude and my video was taken down so here it is with a crappy audio swap...

This is my kitty. She's 6 months old and has been on nature's model of a raw meat diet, which all felines have been designed to thrive upon and that includes house cats.

Felines are obligate carnivores and being fed anything other than raw meat will result in poor nutrition and poor health. This is why our pets grow up to have "human" diseases such as arthritis, heart conditions, liver problems, dental issues, etc, etc. Humans are not even supposed to live with these conditions either and that's also a result of improper nutrition but I won't get into that now. These health conditions are a direct result of our pets being fed kibble, aka death nuggets, and cooked soft food. Cats were not meant to consume grain, vegetables, fruits or cooked food.

Eating raw meat gives cats (and dogs) the optimal nutrition that they've evolved on, while cleaning their teeth and providing them with the mental stimulation they require.

This is only a video of my cat eating a drumstick. I'll post a video where she consumes a full animal, possibly a bird, rodent or a whole chicken that you'd buy in stores. We'll see! But when I do post that, watch at the concentration it requires to pull apart an animal. It's pretty fascinating, IMO!

  • I would love to give my indoor cat a drumstick...she would benefit from the sinew, etc. I believe this is more natural and would suppress her need to chew other stuff. Is this generally safe for cats?

  • Yes it's safe. This is their natural diet. All felines and canines are carnivores (felines are obligate carnivores). In nature, you would never catch a feline eating anything other than meat and the occasional grass. Ever wonder why our domesticated cats suffer from "human disease" such as arthritis? It's because they're not eating their native/natural diet (the same reason humans suffer from these diseases also).

  • Beautiful kitty!!!

Oh, I just noticed the speed-up! That is so funny:-D

I love it when my girl gets that insane look in her eyes, heh-heh.

  • thank you!

I know, you can see they really get into it and that it really stimulates their mind. That's what cats live for! I'm trying to teach her how to start hunting. She finally bit my hand and scratched my hand when I play with her lol she used to be really passive

  • Is there no risk of salmonella infection for cats?

  • No, not at all. Carnivores are meant to eat RAW meat. Felines are obligate carnivores. Completely safe. Cleans their teeth, keeps their health optimal and you'll never have to pay for vet bills for arthritis, heart disease, bone disease, etc.

  • @afroschlan cats and dogs have a mega acidic stomach, not like us! so they can deal with bacteria much more easily :-)

  • @terrykat58 absolutely its safe for all cats. they have a higher tolerance to bacteria then humans do because their stomachs are mega acidic, and their guts are shorter than herbivors so the meat doesnt rot in their intestines. just DONT cook bones, as this makes them brittle, which could cause splinters in their throats...infact dont cook anything!! the nutrients are severely reduced! if worried about parasites, freeze the meat for 3 days and dont feed intestines :-)

  • OMG!THATS MY KITTY CANE BEFORE HE DIED!!!!NO JOKE!!!I CAN TELL BECAUSE HE ALWAYS EATS MEAT ONLY!!

  • DAMN! LOL How long did it actually take to eat! Kinda makes me sick...but to each his own!

  • LOL

  • um humans are carnivores as well, we can also eat raw meat but it has to be fresh. i would assume the same goes for cats, if thats store bought than i dunt knoq if that would be wise to feed your cat

  • Cat: yum this is verry good :3

  • @naturemum

I acutally have to recommend against encouraging your cat to attack your hand or limbs, play fighting is fine, but only if you don't mind getting your hand torn up and having your cat thinking it's okay. Get a stuffed toy or inanimate object for your cat to attack while discouraging your cat to attack your hands to avoid aggressive behavior on your person.

  • i think its great that your giving your cat the types of foods he was born to eat! kudos to you! one thing i'd like to mention though is if you arent already make sure whatever raw meats your giving him are organic too much "human meat" might hurt him since most meat you pick up at the grocery store is pumped full of chemicals which aren't really good for him but either way organic or not its way better than commercial pet food god only knows what kind of crap they try to pass off as "meat"

  • i have hens and a hen charged at my young male cat, the cat bit it on the neck and kllled it intantly tehn took it away to eat it a full size hen lol..i think cats a underestimated in what they can kill they are soo well designed nothing stands a chance.
