I made this blanket for my daughter using an adaptation from The Art of Crochet. I made several granny squares and joined with a single crochet.

  • You did an awesome job on the purple blanket! So very pretty!

  • @marnao122 Thank you! My daughter sleeps with it nightly. She loves it. Can't wait to show my new Disney inspired blanket. :o) Thanks for commenting.

  • It is beautiful! Do you knit as well? What's the main difference between crochet and knitting?

  • @ibyl Thank you! No, I don't knit. I want to learn. The funny thing is I learned using a CD and taught my son. However, I need to refresh my memory. It seems harder but when I look at patterns they read easier. Weird huh? LOL! Thanks for commenting.

  • freedomplease, Can you explain me what stichs you used in the crochet blanket, and how can start with how much stich, then the increases and dicreases and the join from the circle to the square and finally the border and the join???, Thanks

  • @mavlemail I made the blanket with granny squares. You should check out the tutorial by @tjw1963. The link is within the description section. She explains and shows how to crochet the granny square. I connected the squares with single crochet and the border is done with a round of single crochet, round of double crochet, and ending with two rounds of single crochet.
