  • Like most of the posters below - you just saved me at least $100.

Now I just hope my sh*tty soldering skills stand up to the test...

  • You and your Family are AWESOME!!! I watched other post and videos and they looked..... well kinda difficult, you guys gave me confidence by being so calm and relaxed, no tech shop but in your home and on your dining room table.... I live in Miami, Fl and they wanted to charge me $200.00 to $300.00, and with your help I was able to find the bad capacitors and replace them for 0.95 each @ Master Distributors in Miami, Fl, Victor helped me... Great guy

God bless you and your Family.... Thank you..

  • Dear Professor. Fantastic video! One question...how can I be sure my capacitors are discharged? If not, is there a way I can safely discharge them (e.g., touch with a well-insulated screwdriver) without busting anything?

  • Thanks so much -- your video along with others helped me to fix my TV today. I only wish I had done it much sooner! I would suggest maybe a bit more detail on soldering, but other YouTube videos helped with that -- mine still looked terrible, but I hope it will hold up!
