  • very good, the flames are extremely hot, is it capable of making steel if you use enough coke?

  • the furnace gets up to 3000f. yes, a person could melt steel in the furnace. however the steel gains carbon from the coke in the furnace. also the steel must be cast much hotter than the cast iron we are melting here. this make melting and casting steel difficult.

  • Sry Im ignorant and i would like to know what do you use to melt did you use thermite or you heat until it melts?

  • the furnace is a "cupola" it uses foundry coke
