looks like they've got something on there..lol

Anna K. won many doubles with different partner and it showed that she was a good player... She also reached top 10 in singles. :-)

miss them :( :( :( :(

and for those who say martina carried her, judging by their slam victories they had alot of leeway, winning in straight sets and with margins for error built in to cover anna if she really was the weaker player... some rather seeming no name players are the best at doubles and barely show up on the singles radar screen, but anna did both, top ten in both and even better at doubles... its too bad both their careers were largely cut short - injury for both and martina busted for coke in her blood

Anna showered martina with attention, hingis was awash in a flood of pretty girl popularity with anna for the ride but anna was thrilled to have a team mate that had an 11-1 record against her!
anna loved the game as best i can tell, and was less bitter about loss, etc... but because anna was so often cheerful and loving to martina anna brought out alot of smiles from martina that would not have been there... they were great for each other...

my bad, i threw in the WTA, not a grand slam - they won that twice, but should be included in your intro... so it is just two grand slams, sorry

yes, aside from being buddy pal girlfriends (unsexual) they had a real deep bond that was sealed on the courts with 4 grand slam doubles titles and in 5 others they at least made it into the quarters, semi and final one year without winning - also they got a number one ranking in 1999... its been said that anna k was a better doubles player, NOT just because she played with martina H...
this vid is sad - tears for a lost and all too short lived tradition? (about 4 years
