classical music from the late 20th century... this is like civil war reenactment or something. all the "noise" is there, but there aint any real bullets flying, if you catch my drift. at least they are good, compelling copycats.

"...artsy..."?**** off. Maybe they just feel it, and because you dont you dont understand & make assumptions. The more enlightened may not be obvious when making a statement.(that's how this somewhat unenlightened soul sees it) and the drummer? He goes w the flow,and CREATES IT. possible drummers that MIGHT work would be Whit Dickey or Sonny Murray-maybe not powerful enough.. or Brian Betzger(sp?-orig.Jerrys Kids)...but Pete's perfect.(& their chemistry)...i do miss the early days w Leah,though.

what this band needs tho is not a drummer that is pretend'n that he is play'n for a hardcore band..the band needs a drummer that can go with tho flow..thats just me..

i understand that people like making assumptions about the lack of importance in any art style, but i would advise you to consider all possibilities. it is wondrously close-minded of you to denounce any art form when so clearly you worship the bands of ole, the ones that caught back when you were in your prime and that shit stirred your dopamine stick.
i would say the only jerks in this world are the ones who live for an ultimate purpose, rather than live to enjoy not being dead.

Agreed, boring senseless hipster music....at least Sonic Youth, JAMC or The Birthday Party had statements, they were saying FUCK OFF TO EVERYONE!
These guys are just, "oh we want to be so artsy by making noise", if you're gonna do that to be "artistic" just sell your guitar and go back to your day-job, we need real rebellion in these fucked up times, not jerks who want to be part of a scene
