Can't wait.. Anyone want to buy my Canon 50D. I owned Pentax 644AF and loved it. As soon as I sell my 50D I'm buying IT!

Hi All, a friend of mine has a K10D and has tried shooting under water in a swimming pool. He dip it in and took a shot and pull it out of the water - the camera has no issue of water getting inside. Off course he used the WR lens which has a rubber seal at the base of the mount. Btw, he is also a camera tech so if anything goes wrong he would be able to fix it. :-)
So with the K7 , shud be no problem getting wet with the WR lens.

Nice intro but....outfit it with a fullframe sensor and i'm convinced.

@AETrainingDavid97 Right now I am totally in love with my Lumix G2 - but next year I will purchase a new camera. After looking at soooo many cameras and comparing prices and features it will be a Pentax, maybe K7 or K5. 'kay, if the 60D will become cheaper I'll think of a Canon. But the sealing of the Pentax is unique...

I'm trying to find a balance on what camera to decide on, and I hope someone can help:
I've been looking at the T2i, T1i, 60d, D3100, all of them, and still can't decide; but I think I shouldn't let any Pentax camera leave the possibilities.
I would like full HD, but I would also like a strong body, and frankly the 7D is a tad too expensive at the moment.
The K-7 seems great, but I just don't know what matters most, full HD or construction :\

@AETrainingDavid97 Yes, the K-7 is extremely well built, great image quality, weather seals, etc., but has 720p video. The 7D is also a great camera, but also very, very expensive. There is also the option of the new PENTAX K-5, which should be shipping soon. It’s built on the K-7 conceptually, but highly refined, incredible noise performance, higher resolution, new autofocus, and more… and it has 1080p video! But it’s also more expensive (e.g. $1599 body vs the $1699 body 7D).

@AETrainingDavid97 I would say unless you work extensively with video and have very specific requirements for 1080p, Blu-Ray disc creation or similar video-sharing requirements (or the disposable income), the K-7 is going to be an outstanding cost-performance ratio that’s tough to beat.
