Yeah, I've gotta say, the report was a little out of left field when it came out; but the report was simply an ADVISORY that was supposed to raise people's awareness about conserv. extremism. There are parts / groups of america much more passionate about cons. beliefs, but it's far less than half the populace.

Ppl have died for no reason...I dunno if justified is the right word, but the report is definitely vindicated at this point. DHS has some cred now in my book, my eyes are a bit more open

Was the DHS able to give out a report on homegrown Islamic extremism? There was recently an incident involving a Muslim convert shooting Army recruiters in Arkansas. Where was the DHS on that?? I guess they were too busy smearing pro-lifers and pro-legal immigration activists.

Well, seeing how Islamic extremism has been on our radar for about 7 years now, I hope one can see how a special DHS report isn't exactly merited (tell me who ISN'T worried about islamic extremism these days). --- Also, pretty sure the guy was conservative (hence, right-wing) islam.

Second, I'd hope that about 10 acts of violent domestic terrorism would prove that DHS memo to be more of an "advisory" than a "smear." My question is, why are these FEW conserv's flipping out and killing ppl? Why??

So...you're hoping that more domestic attacks would occur just to prove a political point?

The fact of the matter is, that report was way to generalized and called out anybody who opposed wasteful government spending, abortion, and illegal immigration as a terrorist. If they wanted to make an actual report on extremism, then they would've pointed out specific groups of interest, instead of pointing the finger at all conservatives in general. It's like saying all fruit are bad apples.
