  • I've heard people saying singing while improvising is not good, 'cause you concentrate on singing and not on playing, and you actually don't play as technically as you could if you were not singing.

And then people like you who say just the opposite...

This way I'm not going to improve my playing! (any suggestion?)

  • @jslost89 Improving your musicality need not be done at the same time as your technique. You could focus on one in one session, and on the other in the next.

With time, both will be readily available to you without having to chose between the two. They can indeed quite happily coexist, and should just become part of your musical "intelligence" Use one, the other, or both at the same time!

    Good luck,

    Andre

  • Thanks for the video, this is great.

Just read your articles on guitar9. Do you really do these improvisations for one hour each???

  • yes, one hour is a good starting point. The more you play and the stricter you are with the "rules" you set for your improvisations the easier you'll find your own voice.

  • Como siempre tus consejos son muy interesantes.

  • you like early mornings hmm? :=D

Thank you very much again for these nice lessons ;)

I think its very helpful to learn "selfeggio" and hybrid picking, to play every idea i have without limiting to simple pickingmotions ^^
