Iran tests upgraded S-200 missile ایران موشک مشابه اس 300 را آزمایش کرد

Tehran said it has developed and successfully tested its own version of a missile system that Moscow refused to sell it last September amid fears that Iran was trying to build nuclear arms.

The Russian S-300 system can be used to shield nuclear installations and to detect and destroy ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and low-flying aircraft. Iran says however that it has upgraded its previously acquired S-200 system to perform like the S-300. Tests are on-going, and Iranian military officials say that they convey a message of peace and friendship to neighbouring countries and a fierce warning to enemies.
