Ron Paul Rally At The Texas Straw Poll.

Ron Paul supporters showed their passion and raised their voices in support of their candidate at the 2012 Texas Straw Poll. They marched from the booth upstairs at Minute Maid Park where the Straw Poll was held and then down the elevators and onto the sidewalk, where Micah Jackson from the Houston Free Thinkers gave a short speech.

After the speech, a man from security at Minute Maid Park informed the group that they could not carry megaphones on the premises. One of the organizers explained that she had specifically purchased the megaphones for the rally that day and that they had been at the Ron Paul booth the entire duration of the Straw Poll. Nobody had informed her that she could not use the megaphones for voice amplification on the premises prior to the rally.

In any event, the group complied with security's request and ceased use of the megaphones.

Later that afternoon, the same man from Minute Maid Park security approached the Ron Paul booth upstairs and requested that they move the megaphones from the front of the table to a side table where they could not be seen. However, the megaphones were never confiscated by any member of the security team that day.

The greatest success of the whole week was Ron Paul's victory at the 2012 Texas Straw Poll. He led the vote by 27.9% and also led the text-in vote by 54%.

If you want to push him into the seat, we've got to register as Ron Paul delegates. This way you can represent more than just your "one" vote during the primary, you'll represent hundreds of your fellow supporters that normally wouldn't count.
