"What's missing in education reform is courage," says former Washington, D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty. "We want to end this ridiculous system where people get automatic tenure and jobs for life no matter what their performance is."

Fenty was speaking last week at an event during National School Choice Week (NSCW), a non-partisan coalition of educators, activists, and parents seeking to increase options for all forms of educational choice. Go to http://schoolchoiceweek.org for more information.

Reason Foundation was a co-sponsor of NSCW and Reason supporter Judd Weiss held a reception for Fenty, Reason's education expert Lisa Snell, and others to discuss the aims of the choice movement.

About 4 minutes. Video produced by Zach Weissmueller.
