How to solve the 'Not A Firmware File' 1.71 update problem for Action Replay DS v1.54 or less.
Note: Once you have v1.55 you no longer need the 1.71 update.

@skyhawk629. In the link above, there is an update for AR ME (Media Edition). You can try that one.

I have v1.60 and still have the 'Not a Firmware File' error.
And yes i've resetted my AR.

@tuweky Sorry about the delay on the response. I don't have a v1.60 AR so I can't tell you exactly what is wrong with the update. It may be something that's happening when you're uncompressing the file. You could try the Media Edition update from the link above or you could hit auto update on the Action Replay manager and then try the 1.71 update again.
