The Native - SCI FI 48 hour film challenge London 2008

On 5th April SCI FI London film festival launched a 48 hour film competition. Around 100 teams participated and the weekend was filled with many people rushing around filming in various parts of London

As with most 48 hour film challenges, a film title, line of dialogue and prop/action was selected at random and our team received the following:

Film Title: The Native
Prop/Action: A circuit Board. We see a character try to break it.
Dialogue: "I'm going to check on their progress in the training room. I expect this to be completed when I get back."

The decision was agreed to make a short about a team of researchers in an underground bunker, 3 years after Nuclear fallout had occured. One of the researchers builds a time machine so he can go back and prevent the annihilation of earth ever happening. But something comes back and starts picking them off one by one.

Unfortunately we were not shortlisted, but it was a fun experience none the less. Well done to all the entries of the 48 hour film challenge!

Unfortunately I was unable to attend the screening, but I had some friends go and said that the ending was cut off!?!? That kinda sucked - but hoped you enjoyed it.
