Hard to imagine a more PERFECT Gloria (and entire Mass setting) for Easter Vigil. Not only some of Langlais' best writing, but a really wonderful, muscular and luminous performance too. Bravo!

The music is utterly fantastic, and this is a very good performance. Bravo. Very moving.
By the way, every music director on the planet has 'issues'!

God, I remember sight reading this in a rehearsal last year...
Not a good idea. I don't recommend it, especially when your Director of Music has 'issues'...
And we're singing it for her parents' wedding anniversary in 2 months... She's going to go berserk at the tiniest mistake...

isn't it an awesome piece for cathedrals? I sang it at the Cathedral Basilica in St. Louis, Missouri three years ago for an RSCM course, and it's ethereal in acoustics like that :) not as impressive as the messe solemnelle but very pretty!

i play this with my choir now....ahh the good old days i do miss the choir, thanks for the vid gabby it brought back some memories
This is amazing!! Could anyone post his Missa in Simplicitate here? It's just as lovely, though it's unison treble and much simpler.

Sorry I don't have that...but yes it is lovely; I sang it two weeks ago in Westminister Cathedral.
