lol,greentee, sounds discouraging to those who never make it...aboard the Island the DI's give you a speech before you walk under a sign on the Receiving Barracks..it reads "Through these portals pass prospects for America's Finest Fighting Force-the United States Marines"..note that it doesn't say here come Marines-to-be, or future Marines, but "prospects for". I spent 319 days aboard Parris Island, but was NEVER called a Marine until the day I graduated-29JUL94. Been a Marine ever since!

@GodZxSAINT Right?? I dont believe he was saying bad on SEALs, he was just saying dont join the Navy just to become a SEAL, I'm a Marine myself, but SEALs are a bad ass force themselves. Give respect where respect is due I always say.

If seal is the only thing you want in the navy, i wouldn't join. you will hate every sec of your time in it.
