Hope Sandoval - Suddenly Beside You, 2010, (B-side of "Golden Hair" single)+lyrics

This song is B-side of the Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions' single "Golden Hair", the A-side (findable elsewhere at YT) being a cover of Syd Barrett's song "Golden Hair", which Syd based on a section from James Joyce's 1904 poem,"Chamber Music". Hope Sandoval & the Warm Inventions' version of "Golden Hair" had first been issued in March 2010 as part of a Syd-tribute album which came free with an issue of Mojo magazine, & had a variety of artists contributing covers of songs from Syd's 1970 album "The Madcap Laughs", the tribute being called "The Madcap Laughs Again". In Aug., 2010, Hope's "Golden Hair" was issued separately,along with this new or previously unreleased song "Suddenly Beside You" (not a Syd song), as a two-song single. I haven't seen the writing credit yet, but the lyric, melody, & music style sound distinctively "Sandovalian", don't you think?

If you're wondering who the large collection of people pictured in the unusual Hope photo third from last is, it's not Hope with a new big band. It's some of her Mexican-American family, including her Dad. The pic's added as an entertaining novelty! Btw, Hope's Dad actively encouraged her to pursue music, & bought her her first guitar when she was 13. By 15 she was writing songs & formed musical duo "Going Home" with friend Sylvia Gomez . So, Mazzy & Hope fans everywhere owe a debt of gratitude to Señor Sandoval! More trivia: Someone pointed out to me the woman in the family photo on the left with her hand on Hope's shoulder is likely Hope's niece Nicole Presley, & that Nicole sings back up guest vocals on the song "Drop" on Hope's solo album, "Bavarian Fruit Bread". Perhaps an appropriate album for Nicole to be on, as nowadays she's an award winning cook/chef, & has a recipe site, "Presley's Pantry"! Nicole used to sing in L.A. band Boca de Sandia, a few videos of which are findable at YT.

Another Hope Sandoval recording released in 2010 is "The Buffalo",a bonus track found only on the Japanese version of the album "Through the Devil Softly", released Jan. 2010 in Japan, some months after the album's Sept. 2009 release elsewhere. I've uploaded "The Buffalo" to You Tube too.

Not finding the lyrics posted any place, I made a best effort to transcribe them. I can't claim 100% accuracy, but like to think they're close!

@Makilock1 Yes, it's Hope, her siblings, her Dad, & probably an in-law or two. Someone posted a link for it at fan site Mazzy Star Boulevard a few years back, & I thought it would be fun to include it in a few Hope slide shows.
