Fathers 4 Justice protesters fined for climbing Stonehenge

FATHERS 4 JUSTICE ROCK STONEHENGE
Three 'Fred Flintstone' campaigners from Fathers 4 Justice scaled Stonehenge at 9.15am this morning in anger at David Cameron's comments about absent fathers this morning.

Jolly Stanesby, 36, from Ivybridge Devon, Dave White, 29 from Southampton and Richard West, 40, from Ottery St Mary, Devon are all wearing Fred Flintstone outfits in a symbolic protest at what they say is 'Caveman Cameron's' naive and prejudiced beliefs about fathers when 300,000 dads have lost contact with their kids in the family courts since 1997. Cameron had said fathers are abandoning their children.

The protestors evaded tight security and prevented English Heritage officers forcibly removing them from the stones with a ladder.

Members of the public are currently at the site waving at the Flintstones.

Said F4J Founder Matt O'Connor, "We need an urgent, intellectual debate about fatherlessness, not meandering Neanderthal comments from dinosaur Dave. Stonehenge is symbolic because it formed the foundation of our society, foundations being eroded by all the main political parties."

"Family Law is literally killing kids stone dead. Family breakdown is rife and last weeks Unicef report put Britain bottom out of 21 countries as being the worst place in the first world to grow up. We want to consign the secret family courts to history and by putting the world's most famous stone age man on top of the world's most famous stones, we aim to show our commitment to our nations children."

Highlighting their campaign!

The stones have been there for 1000's of years, only the past decade people have been banded from climbing/touching the stones except once a year when they are open to the public. The protestors took great care not to harm the stones, unlike many previously. The stones where not harmed and fathers rights gained publicity it was a success.

Yes Women are treated differently, however they are in fact, also treated differently with regards to parenting rights.

I would not class fighting for your and your children's rights as pathetic.

Women have in fact use similar tactics to F4J in the past, just look at the suffragettes.

There is no English law to allow fathers A HUMAN RIGHT to see their children after a separation with the mother..

It would be the end of the family law industry if the law was changed so as separated fathers have 50/50 rights.

For that reason it is taking time to change but it will change.

Go to Yahoo and search for "The Myth of the Deadbeat Dad" which was a Reader's Digest Canada article. It was written by a woman that stated the majority of Dad's were not deadbeats. She gave an example a $150K a year Dad that after taxes paid his ex over $7000 a month, leaving him with $300 to survive on. The author gave numerous examples of guys that committed suicide because of court-enforced poverty. It's a sad article, check it out.

A good friend of mine lost his younger brother Dec 25th, 2006. He was by himself on Christmas day and committed suicide in his basement suite. He was divorced and didn't get to see his little girl that day yet he gladly paid child support. I've heard 2 female news readers lately talk about guys who pay through the nose after a divorce and then saying "right on sister". Try and share that sentiment with the mother of the dead guy. She'd kill any woman that said that.

This is a message to the Government and judiciary.

1. HAVE AN AUTOMATIC PRESUMPTION OF 50/50 CONTACT WHEN PARENTS SPLIT

2.OPEN COURTS, to be brought in line with the crown and magistrates courts.

3.COMPULSORY MEDIATION BEFORE THE COURT PROCESS

4.ENFORCE COURT ORDERS. A 3 strikes and your're out policy would be a great detterent against uncooperative mothers. On the 3 rd strike , residence would be swopped to the father or whoever has deliberately broken the court order.
