    sorry this is not Ume.... Ume is a flower of March, tells us the spring will come,, Hydrangea has blossom in June, telling the June rainy season has come.. oh the rainy season is called "Ume Rain" , though..

    and thanks OckGal, Hedrangea has compass-NESW-casting(??make sense??) leaves in each one ball of flower.
