@PigsCanFly99 We are required by federal law to sound 2 long 1 short and 1 long whistle signal at every crossing. If I sound one toot and hit someone I can be criminally charged for negligence and sued by the person, if they survive or the family of said person if they don`t. Conductor has a bell-ringing fetish. What is it with these train-guys anyhow? Like a single shot on the horn is far and sufficient for ALL intents and purposes. Any 'leaning' on the horn constitutes disturbing the peace and the should be charged accordingly. An unfortunate tradition - this leaning on the horn business - I'm confident it has NEVER made any difference (that a single toot wouldn't have accomplished). Rail guys just trying to show us their nuts. Get lost I say!
