How much power does Paul Krugman think the government needs to solve the health care crisis? Also, were there terrorist attacks on Americans under George W Bush?

  • This is the second video of yours that I have watched and I must say I am impressed. I will definitely be watching more.

  • @ruthc48 thanks so much! :)

  • As always, Stefan, thanks for the illuminating videos you run daily. Your station is a terrific alternative to the mainstream media :)

  • You are very welcome my friend, and thank you so much for watching!

  • Stef, I think you made a factual error. You said the government is out of money. The government ran out of money 50 years ago. Just like any person in debt they try to play it off.

  • @drew335533 That is an excellent clarification, thank you, I meant that the government is out of borrowing... :)

  • @kaoslife2386 MASSIVE austerity measures, in addition to blaming capitalism for their fuck ups.

  • @Films4You They've already done that and they're continuing to do it. Now they're trying to make Iran into a boogeyman. They're already planning for the next war.

Whether they do this consciously or not is debatable. Their "solutions" always cause future problems.

  • So you are basically saving Governments need to create problems to justify their own existence.

They need to create the poor, create wars and other Illuminati ideas?

  • Should we be scared?

  • You have to be one of the smartest people I have ever heard speak

  • @fearsomepirate why doesn't stephen debate Paul Krugman! He is arguing from a negative!.He is assuming that in the medical insurance industry would be better without regulation and little regulation,or perhaps with a public option. You sound so confident sir...Debate Paul Krugman Please!!!

  • thats what im talking about this guy actually got off his ass and did something

  • so much disagreement, i don't know where to start, so i wont.

  • That fact that our government already runs the majority of health coverage and heavily regulates the remainder is not surprising. The fact that the effectiveness and efficiency of the current system is inversely related to government involvement is not surprising.

What does amaze me, however, is that people think that the current system is run by the 'free market'. I guess Krugman couldn't resist correcting those who think otherwise, even at the risk of exposing the system he supports.
