That fact that our government already runs the majority of health coverage and heavily regulates the remainder is not surprising. The fact that the effectiveness and efficiency of the current system is inversely related to government involvement is not surprising.

What does amaze me, however, is that people think that the current system is run by the 'free market'. I guess Krugman couldn't resist correcting those who think otherwise, even at the risk of exposing the system he supports.
