  • i remember...! it was also on tv in germany. nice memories! thank you for that. by the way, does anybody know the other movies? a journey to the center of the earth for example? and (sorry, from here it's only my school english!) then there was an expedition to the moon. the same cartoon-quality like moby dick. Does anybody remember? it would be great so see this movies once again...!

  • @optimus1909 Thanks! I believe a lot of the animated versions of literary classics are on You Tube. I'm sure that Jules Verne's Master of the World is on.

  • This was actually a good film of the story.

    When I was working on my 4 year degree, the teacher who taught me this book said that he had respect for it, but he also felt it was too full of digressions. He respected the book, but he confessed to me he felt he had been 'a bit had' when he finished it.

    It's hard not to like and side with Captain Ahab a little. (Mainly because he is the one constant driving force in this book full of digressions.)

  • I love Melville, but this is so bad........I wish it were not.......but really.....lets work a little more next time. Do Herman a little justice here .......what hay?
