While on vacation in January we lost our beloved newfie to a sudden illness. He was gone in 2 days from the time we took him to the neurologist. For those that have lost a pet that has made its way into your heart this is for all of you.

I have a 17 month old Newf and an 8 week old Newfie puppy and the thought of losing either scares the hell out of me. Newfs are not just dogs, they are soulmates. So so sorry for the loss of your beautiful boy. xx

Your dog was so cute!!! he looks like a big teddy bear! we can see he was very happy with you!I can tell you there is heaven for dogs too,I had a spiritual experience when my dog died.They are God's creatures too.They are our little angels on earth,full of love,loyal,funny...RIP Sambuca Bear

i can't watch this:'( i am so sorry for your loss and i can't bear the thought like that for my puppy. I give you my deepest sympathy. You really touched my heart i like never cry but when it comes to newfie's passing away it kills me!!!

Thanks for your kind comments.....we now have another newfie in our lives. His name is "Spirit" of Sambuca but we just call him spirit. Newfies are such wonderful companions and they have such short lives.

Thanks to our family and friends who have sent wonderful cards and emails....they do help! Not able to have kids, our pets have always filled our hearts and been our furchildren.
