Chris Hemsworth Talks Competing For Thor Role with Brother Liam

Are two Hemsworth's better than one? When it comes to snagging the lead in Thor, it didn't hurt! We've got the details coming up next!

Chris Hemsworth was thrilled when he found out he'd snagged the title character in director Kenneth Branagh's upcoming Marvel Flick "Thor." The audition came at a time where he was trying out for a number of films, but with no script and not much to go on, his preparation for the audition consisted only of riffling through a few comic books!

But he did have one secret weapon! Chris wasn't the only Hemsworth auditioning for the job. That's right, both he and brother Liam - famous currently for being Miley Cyrus' main squeeze- were up for the very same role! For most families, this could definitely spark some sibling rivalry...but not for these guys! Chris says, "I'm excited for him and vice versa. Through that process, I was giving him advice on what I thought Ken wanted — and then when I was in there testing, he was doing the same."

So how do these boys keep the competition at bay? They don't let the biz or the buzz go to their heads. In Chris's words "for the majority of the time in this business, we're sort of just "pinching" ourselves!" And who wouldn't be!

Thor is like a masculine god. Liam is a little puny is you've seen the previews for The Last Song. I mean they had to spray a six pack on him for crying out loud. Chris is fit and doesn't have any abs sprayed on. Chris was the perfect choice. Whoever sais Liam was the better choice needs to shoot themselves in the head, because obviously they don't know their Marvel.
