Real-time cutscenes really are in the PC version of Resident Evil 4! Well, sort of. There are no character models on-screen and no sound effects.

To watch the real-time cutscenes yourself - rename, delete or move the folder named 'Movie' in your main Resident Evil 4 directory.

This was played on a EU v1.1 binary of the game with several mods which can be found here http://z6.invisionfree.com/Resident_Evil_4_PC/

  • Oh geez. Lazy sons of bitches. They'd rather waste 2 gigs of hard drive space with crappily encoded videos recorded from the console version than make the cut scenes work. Thats just lovely.

  • Capcom should use real-time cutscenes just like in the Wii and Gamecube Versions. I guess they were just too lazy to do it :(

    (remove the spaces)

    It worked for me :)

  • These are actually left overs from the GC ver and they appear when you delete the Movie folder ... lazy capcom ....

  • @riomigz1305 and it looks lovely on my Full HD 50 inch monitor :)

  • @riomigz1305 with mods, it is better than all versions.

  • @HIM666dark6light i think its mostly due to the fact that this is a direct port from the PS2 version. PS2 did not support a lot of formats. Also (correct me if i am wrong) but resolutions higher than 720p werent so popular back in 05-06 when this port was in development. But judging from the quality of the game the developers obviously didnt put much thought into anything, so they mustve decided "awwww screw it" and decided not to include higher resolutions

  • @TheCompScientist yeah you can,but why cant the feature of changing the resolution to max be not available?
