@francisthechick13 During the war Kirkenes was renamed "Festung Kirkenes" as it was an important nazi fortress in their campaign against the Soviet. More than thirty thousand Germans were stationed here, and the town supplied an army of over a hundred thousand. This swastika and numerous bunkers everywhere is what remains of their presence.
