  • Woha. A softbox does not lessen the light it provides a larger light source. You could always simply reduce the power of you r flash to lessen the light. You also would never use the bounce card with the on camera flash in the position you show. You would use the bounce card with the on camera flash in the 90 deg. position. Not good at all.

  • The terminology you use is at best, lousy. A hood is an attachment to a lens. The piece of equipment you CALL a hood is a softbox, or a light modifier. A hood it is not. Why not call a camera a light meter, or a light meter a camera. Each of these examples would be as precise as your "hood". Don't teach if you can't get the terminology right. It's like an illiterate Spaniard correcting an English Professor on syntax. Not very reliable. Or commendable.
