  • I just don't have faith in the mob..... Highschool is not must different from anarchy, the popular people will be given athourity thru popularity.... Anarchy is the feminin version of authority, where the social and pretty people rule.... Your trade athoritive masculin FORCE for wishy-washy feminin manipulation... Everything would suck just in opposite ways.... Let's try mixed markets because I want my water supply to be controlled with some athourity.

"master" does not imply anything about the voluntary or involuntary nature of something. I do wish to abolish "voluntary" associations which are hierarchical by making the need for them obsolete. (wage labour is hardly voluntary, otherwise debt bondage is voluntary).

Both Spooner and Tucker advocated the negation of wage labour.

  • I don't recall, Lenin declaring himself a dictator...

  • @GodOfTheInternets You simply seem to confuse "rulers" (as anarchy means "without rulers") with voluntary heiarchy such as one man working for another. Neither Spooner nor Tucker thought one man voluntarily working for another was a "slave" and "master" relationship. "Leader" does not necessarily imply "ruler", as one can be voluntary, one cannot. It's akin to confusing "donation" for "tax".

  • @GodOfTheInternets And master implies involuntary heirarchy, not voluntary heiarchy. Again, in S&M sex there is a dom (dominatrix) who is by her existence creating heiarchical relationships. This is okay, it's voluntary. Rape would not be voluntary. See the difference yet? Surely you don't wish to "ban" or "abolish" voluntary associations that contain heirarchy, right? That wouldn't be anarchism, it's be a de facto state.

  • When people ask me for an example of a working anarchy, I used to provide examples, but they always shifted the goalpost. You can render them speechless by asking them to provide an example of a working state. And, the state has had more chances to prove it works, and has failed every one of them.

No you can't. Anarchism is "the absence of a master" (defined by Proudhon, the first anarchist), a master is "some who has control over someone else", a boss, or politician. Anarchism and bosses are incompatible.

And you don't need a boss telling you what to do, that's what we call elitism... the opposite of anarchism. A peer, an equal, can teach you how to work without a command-obey chain.

  • @stratvic Also, the "wage slavery" argument goes right out the window if you work for percentage...you cannot be exploited at all.

  • @stratvic This is exactly why I only accept pay in percenatage of profits, not per hour. Not only am I less likely to get layed off in bad times, but in good times I make more. It incentivizes me to work harder, and it incentivizes my boss to keep me happy as a result. As an individualist market anarchist I will only work for percentage pay, not wages, where possible. I have truned to being self employed for the last few years due to this pursuit. I've been wealthier, but never happier

  • @PunkOnARant I should of put the word 'class' in quotations, as it is just a collective notion.

I'll add that even what you just decribed doesn't describe a left or right thing...as right wingers in this country are often union members as well. People seek higher wages, not based on political decisions. They don't care if them having a higher wage means scewing the next guy out of a job, or if it slows highering...all they care about is their wage. The boss' margains don't change.
