This is my 7 year old broaching some parts I made. She has been bugging me to help daddy in the machine shop. She learned fast and had 150 of these parts done in 2 hours!

Common sense, freedom and personal responsibility normally goes out the window when H&S geeks like you strike. Your probably anti firearms too. This is the best video that I have seen in a while. Bet she is the only seven year old that even knows what broaching is let alone have done it. stuff like this teaches work ethic and skills something that is lacking now days.

See the youtube safety police has struck here too. How about you all go lock yourselves in a padded cell and throw away the key. She has a bit of personal responsibility and so has her dad, if they get hurt guess what, its their fault and no one else. So why dont the H&S sissy's F-off. Way to go man, who says you need a boy. I salute you for not bringing your kid up in a H&S box. She is much better off than the ones trawling the streets with no skill sets or aim in life. A+ keep the vids coming.

@Simpsons36 She is being a machinist! you can only be so safe - the press has no motor on it first of all, her hair is perfectly fine for this job setup... And I know NO machinist that has never hurt himself (HERself in this case). You either learn from your mistakes or get hurt again or possibly even kill yourself.
but, I do agree it's an AWESOME video... nice to see that there ARE some bright futures in America.

Adorable little machinist! I have to say that this is one impressive little girl. Keep up the great work, but keep her safe too.
She rightly mentioned having her hair 'up' for safety, but a pony tail should also be under a hat or under that shirt.
Howerver, what really jumped out at me was her handling a sharp cutting tool with bare hands. Buy her some gloves. Maybe you can find a tiny pair in pink!

After reviewing the video for alleged safety violations, I did notice at one time, while pointing at the broach, she may have touched it on accident. She does however, promise she will never do it again.
She also just started welding, (using the appropriate safety gear), so when I upload that video, I will be ready for your "constructive" comments.
I will also be uploading a video of her shooting my Kimber 22-250. She is quite a target shooter!
