I know Dessay's,Sills',Sutherland's,C
allas',Devia's,Netrebko's and many others versions! Gruberova is the best!
In my opinion, she is the best Amina,Lucia,Linda,Beatrice,Elv
ira,Elisabetta,Anna,Maria di Rohan,Maria Stuarda,Semiramide,Rosina and many others! I can't listen to Donizetti,Bellini e Rossini if she isn't singing!

@LuisTavinho Callas' (or Sutherland's) version...of this piece??? Somehow I doubt that :-) Actually, I am not sure that Dessay, Devia, or Netrebko have sung this ever...but I will surely agree that Gruberova does this quite well! I've only heard 1 soprano sing this aria better, & she was a fellow student in college:)

The audience was euphoric and Edita askes if she was allowed to sing another encore...

What I admire in her, besides her vocal technique and artistic interpretations, is her modesty and simplicity. She is really a great singer. Thank you for sharing her latest performances. I am really stunned! A lady over 50, still in her primes.
