This video shows a real good example of fresh overgrown bars, so that you can see how they can grow up and lay over the sole. It also shows an example of what looks to be a good big healthy frog, BUT was found to have a whole layer of white fungus growing underneith. There is also a little on exfoliation and trimming bars and rasping.
I noticed on her front left hoof one specific area was flared out - and I notice on my gelding the same flare in one spot no matter how much I bevel. How do you fix this mare's hoof? Thanks for any tips you might feel like sharing.

Is it ok to soak the foot before working on it? My horse has years of compacted soles and bars out to the wall and stretched frogs, bars merged into sole to the tip of the frog...everything you've shown is something that my one old horse has got going on in his feet! I'm working relentlessly and with your bar and sole episodes I now have someplace to go! he bottom of his fet are like keritinized! they are solid, not flaky but it is all compacted layers of false soles! I'll get a vid tmara

Great video! The things you pointed out about the sole growing and pushing and compacting up when it can't get exfoliated! Your show and tell videos are AWESOME teaching tools! I'd still be so blind if I had not found your videos! Queenie was a good example for me to see getting that bar down and exfoliating sole! You have given me so much hope but even better, you opened my mind and showed me truth and logic in the foot of the horse! Cat Dancer will always be remembered and thank you for that!
