I agree with u but there are beautiful historic places, temples, gardens, hill stations so india has beauty too.I lived there and I lived in the city. I think the movie should have showed BOTH sides of india b/c I have noticed that western cinema only shows the negative side of my country most of the time and I hear only bad stereotypes from nonindians abt it and I get sick of it!

Imagine, if they have not selected at least two Indians for Oscar, Indians opinion about this movie would have been different.
