Deep Space Bass was released in 2001, as the official soundtrack to Cartoon Network's action TV block Toonami. It contains music from various shows' intros, outros, and promo spots, along with other Toonami music, including selections from Toonami's Midnight Run and The Intruder specials. All of the tracks were recorded by Joe Boyd Vigil, who composed Toonami's score from 1999 through 2002. The album has since been long out of print.

According to Joe Boyd Vigil, during an interview with The.Toonmaster, Darknight (Track 13, a selection from Batman), was actually taken off the album before its release due to Toonami's head, Sean Akins, belief that it was too "down-tempo". It was later replaced with a track called Hyperspace, however, the covers to the album had already been printed and so the track listing was left uncorrected.

As heard before Gundam Wing Pt. I

  • @Amana09 mankind will NEVER have true peace. there is always someone that wants more then they deserve.

  • There is nothing wrong in wishing for peace but the question is mankind ready for it?

  • simply beautiful. makes you wish bein a kid

  • All good things come to an end; but as the announcer said for Season Six of Dragonball Z...

    ""Its always Darkest before Dawn..""

  • Dang, love these songs so much...miss the show a ton, but I guess all good things have to come to an end.

  • I think this played during the endless waltz marathon promos

  • i miss the old Toonami, it was bad ass back then. Now Tom is stupid lookin' and Sara is practically non-existant. Srsly, who told them that it was okay to change the look?! 'tards.... >.<

But this song is b.a. it was always fun watching the promos before the show came on and stuff, not anymore tho.
