Gliding video | Duo Discus glider cockpit flight at Samedan | Alps Soaring

In this gliding video you will see a cockpit flight in the Duo Discus glider soaring in the Swiss alps. We will make a winch launch takeoff (acceleration 3s to 100 km/h) then climb on rising currents (thermal) very close to the mountains where you can see some amazing views of the alps. Then we will perform some glider aerobatics and land back at Samedan (St. Moritz Engadin Airport) in the cockpit of this wonderful glider.

@dave4shmups as a glider pilot myself we get winch launched, it is a quick and cheap way to get you soaring. Basically a cable attatched to your plane and a mechanical reel at the end of the runway.
