The HSUS gave $34.1 million in grants from their member donations to 235 animal rescue groups for their rescue and reconstruction effort after Hurricane Katrina.

Not only does the HSUS give millions to animal care facilities, their Emergency Services Unit rescues thousands of animals every year from puppy mills, fighting operations, and goes undercover in labs and factory farms.

That you will not learn from watching this Center for Consumer Freedom-funded video.

10 million pets are abandoned every year, shelters are overflowing and more coming, MOST get euthanised, gassed or sold to research labs by shelters. The last thing the HSUS is is pathetic. Go to their website and learn what they REALLY do.

As soon as i saw that this video was condeming SHAC i knew it was a propaganda video. Shac is the most caring compassionate org ever. They speak out for the horrific animal cruelty that goes on behind closed doors. The FBI of course label them "terrorists" they don't want this org to expose the abuse they desperately want to hide from the general public.

Do you people believe all the propaganda you read and see on the computer? If you do there is no hope for this world.
This IS BS. The HSUS is primarily involved in animal advocacy through education and lobbying for new laws. Every animal organization has a specific area they focus on, otherwise they would be overwhelmed. Local humane societies help animals on an individual level and that's wonderful. So do I but I get no help from them because they do not have the resources. .

Just because you saw this video, don't believe it! There are lots of people out there attacking the HSUS and even though they aren't a shelter, they are advocates for animal well-being! They don't need to be a shelter to help animals and all of the things they do are greatly needed! One of the things that they do that I love is they educate the public about animals and give resources to both the general public and animal shelters.

No they don't-they are just a money grabbing organization who has done VERY LITTLE for animals despite their multi-million dollar status. I quit donating to HSUS once I found out they became the Michael Vick butt kisser's club.

OMG, sounds like YOU need to some friggin' home work! The only thing HSUS does proactively is fill their pockets with donations (and of course buy LOTS of expensive suits). Follow the money if you want facts, look at their IRS tax returns posted on their site.
