Well only in America could we have such a vibrant discussion over a doctored video of a fire place.... With the outside edge parts of the flame dancing 3 times faster than natural... the only explanation could be this is a Natural Gas fireplace, and the Wood fire is being fueled by a natural gas so as to burn at 3 times normal speed.... But I do not think so... that would be a lot of gas blowing on the flames. My conclusion remains... Video is playing 2-3 times normals speed.

I love this! But I must ask: can you make an hour-long version? It doesn't even have to be real; you can just repeat this one over and over. It's so annoying to have to press replay every twenty minutes (time flies when you're listening to this thing!) and I don't think that YouTube is going to install a loop option anytime soon. Thanks!
