photoshop. How to show only one color and leave the rest black & white.

1.Duplicate the picture First!
2.Make sure you are working on
the Duplicate layer.
3.Click on Image on the top left,
than adjustment, than click on the
Gradient Map. Click on the black
and white one.
4. Than get your eraser out and
erase the part where you want the
color to be showing.
(I AM GOING TO GET THE GREEN
TO SHOW ONLY, SO I AM ERASING OVER
THE CAR BECAUSE THAT IS THE COLOR
OF THE CAR)

  • what would be easier would be selecting the color with the color selection, invert it, and delete it, for then to select the bottom layer and turn it black/white

  • an easier way of doing this is to go to colour range, select the colour you want to leave in, change the fuzziness to the amount of colour. Then hit ok, the colour will be selected. Keeping it selecting go to hue+satuation turn down the master satuation ... fini.. just alter the curves to get the colours look good.
