This is a good full body excersize. One of hundreds of excersizes on my site kylepounds.org.

  • @jontebeu I'm stretching my back. You should try it. It's the best upper body stretch you can do.

  • @MattyHild well I won't with 35 lbs. so what it's not a full body excersize. muscle isolation excersizes are fine.

  • 70 lbs won't hurt me until I'm like 80. bending the back like that with db's is a great stretch. you should try it. and it's ok to stretch and lift at the same time. thanks for the info about the disk.

  • I'm a physical therapist....for one there is no such thing as a slipped disc. A disc cannot slip anywhere. It CAN RUPTURE, but it's not like a hockey puck that can slide out from between the vertebra.

As far as your form...see you in PT in the future. A "measly" seventy pounds huh? Google the term lever arm. The further away the weight is from the fulcrum (your hips) the more torque it puts on your back.

  • I only have one video where I squat and it was deep squating 185 lbs like 15x. I don't recall that having bad form but if you insist maybe I'll have another look. Deadlifting in my opinion is the most dangerous for the back because you're dealing with the most weight. I pretty much totally avoid deadlifting because of that.

  • I did slip my disc from squats, completely botched set(4x275), much like the one on your video. You should re upload it with a better form, this looks terrible.

  • 70 lbs is nothing. Try deadlifting 225 with a bent back. That will slip your disc.

  • yeah.. yeah it could. i've split a disc before.. and you're going to head into a train of pain.

Also its not a full body exercise.

  • It's bad form and could hurt me but not with a measely seventy pounds.
