My sister had a water-birth at home on March 24th, 2010 and gave birth to my nephew, Jacob Ransom. I had the privilege of being there to photograph the event.

It was an amazing experience. I recommend home birth to every pregnant woman out there.

Are you an expecting mom, or do you know someone who is? My sister has a clothing, card and bag design just for you! Check it out at http://www.cafepress.com/peaches12 and support another mom!

My sister's midwife (who is now also my midwife!), Jen McFarland, was incredible. You can contact her on her website. http://www.mybirthbydesign.com/

The type of birthing pool used is called an "Aquaborn". It worked out really well. You can see these at http://www.waterbirthsolutions.com/Aquaborn_Eco_Pools.html

Music is "Go There With You" by Steven Curtis Chapman.

  • @pnoozi Three? Is three a particularly shocking number of children? Or was it just difficult for you to count that high.

  • @geminiher62 There are certainly times when home birth is not recommended. Often high risk pregnancies should consider at least natural birth in a hospital, and most agree that babies before 36-37 weeks need medical care since they're not fully developed yet.

  • i love how sweet it was when the woman was leaning against her man in the pool he was really suppotive of her he seems like a great guy and dad and how her kids are there wht a wounderful video i hope i get married and have a child someday and that my huband/ father of my children will be right there with me through everything when i give birth and for us to have a happy life together like the couple in this video i wish them the best

  • @trlovlsts4evr That was the most incredible part of the entire birth to me. Jacob finally being there was so amazing but the entire process leading up to that point was such beautiful teamwork. It was really inspiring to see my sister and her husband working together. I think it can be easy for men to feel uninvolved or distanced during pregnancy since they're not physically doing anything. This was a really beautiful way for the husband to play a really important role.

  • I was born on march 27th HE IS CLOSE

  • i wish the people who have nothing nice to say would go back to first grade. "three is a shocking number of children" -umm, not really. ever heard of "19and counting"? anyways, women who are capable to have a natural water birth, should. its what our bodies were made for and in todays world not enough women do it, they are made to believe that they cant because of the pain and they learn to fear what they were meant for...giving birth, the most beautiful thing!

  • Oh my god the little one putting her hands on your head is the most precious thing I've ever seen

  • this..made..me..cry

  • The water is red of blood

  • Lol at the mother grabs the baby before it drowns. The baby does not breathe in until he/she is out of the water.

  • That belly looks big enough fro two;) haha

  • The little girl touching your head was incredibly precious!

  • she gave birth a day after my bday!! the 24 is when she gave birth
