How sad out of all Gene's songs over all the years only " 14 Carat Mind " reached # 1. This guy's been singing as good as it gets for a long, long time. There's many songs I'm having trouble finding on " Youtube ". I'm going to attempt to list them in another post as I know there won't be sufficient room on this one. Can anyone tell me what's happened with all those good songs that were placed on this facility by " genewatsonfan2 "? Thanks for this song, livingadream2.

Thank you for posting all these wonderful pictures of Gene - they all take me back thru the years. I love this song "Nothing Sure Looked Good on You". The song says a lot - if there's love there, then having nothing (in materials) is not such a big problem. Gene is fabulous and I love everything he's ever sung. Thank you for posting. - Paula

@RickinFLA07 ....Yes! I agree with you 100%. Country today ain't the country I grew up with. Conway, The Hag, Gene, Vern and the others on your list are the backbone of Country & Western Music. Todays Country is nothing more than mid 70s Top 40!

@ConditionOfAnonymity i agree with u totally, lots of his songs were #1s however they were "too country" so therefore they never reached number 1. What a shame.

Just thought I would add, that I subscribed to your POSTINGS here and would love to invite you as well...I have several songs I have sung on here, kind of new here posting on YouTube....My son and I do FAREWELL PARTY and he just signed up on SINGSNAP, I have been there 3 yrs. He has a huge Karaoke Buss w/wife and I have the same too..but not for money all personal enjoyment. So we hope to post that one soon, we have always gotten Standing Ovations for it.

it's a shame that the younger country music listeners doesn't get the chance to hear this legendary singer/songwriter. this man had many number 1 hits, but without number 1 hits. I hope you listeners understand what I'm saying. Nashville let us and Gene Watson down. It seems that the music execs were sleeping for the last 40 years. just my thoughts on this subject, and thanks for all the uploads (livingadream2) love your site and music taste...

Thanks very much for your attempts, Joan. I'm without a lack of understanding how all this You Tube stuff works. I have the impression those posting songs must get no further reward than the satisfaction of devoting time to enable lucky people, like me, to entertain themselves listening to their favorite artists singing their favorite songs. If that is so it's certainly to be admired and it means a great deal. Thanks for the Jones song, too.

Again, your very welcome. It appears YouTube is blocking many of my videos and Gene is in the list also. So far the count stands at 24 and rising. I will continue to post though. Some have been on for a fair amount of time and they are now just blocking them? So for now, thanks for listening!
