@insectduel From what I can tell, there was a really common pirate version running in Japan, which had the copyright text changed to 1990 J., and it seems it was so popular, it was actually dumped instead of the original version.

If I were to hack Mega Man 3, I would add more water sections and make it so you can't use Rush Jet underwater.

@insectduel the dump that has 1990 CAPCOM would be Mega Man 3, not Rockman 3.

It's an option in VirtuaNES and FCEUX. I don't know for any other emulator though.

Oh, ****. What Rockman 3 ROM dump has the 1990 CAPCOM. I have 1990 J. But can you answer. I think I have the wrong rom.

I wasn't aware there was more than one version.
Mine is just "Rockman 3 - Dr. Wily no Saigo! (J).
