Just watched this again - it stands the test of time, really wonderful. And of course, Andrew Davies' script has similarities with P&P! Jonathan Firth has a smile like his brother's - Colin <3

I would say its a fairly happy ending, many of your main charactors and not so main get what they want in the end, love mainly, but there's a few that have a bumpy ride along the way. Good adaptation though.

@qetuoa13579 Middlemarch is a story with a large cast of characters and several plots. So there isn't an easy answer to your question. Some people have happy endings but one of the heroines has a melancholy fate.
